Original lithograph poster for the 'Musée national d'art moderne' in Paris after a quill and ink on wove paper by Henri Matisse in 1935. The ink drawing is titled 'Nude on Little African Rug'.
Henri Matisse is often regarded as the most important French painters of the 20th century. He was the leader of the Fauvist movement about 1900, and he pursued the expressiveness of colour throughout his career. His subjects were largely domestic or figurative.
Printed by SNIML in 1992. Matisse name is embossed on the left side. Signed and dated on the plate.
